在此前的路演中，林家栋和朱鉴然也向观众分享了这场戏的拍摄幕后。一位观众在映后分享道：“一开始觉得阿南盯修浩的眼神比刺刀更锋利，但其实两人的表情中藏着非常复杂的情感。”林家栋坦言当时修浩是“痛苦、不忍、愧疚、绝望的心情都夹杂在一起”，亲手杀掉警察同僚是一个令修浩无比心痛的抉择。朱鉴然表示“在被修浩一枪爆头之前，阿南的内心有不甘和遗憾，因为他没办法继续执行任务、再也见不到自己的亲人了。但因为阿南的牺牲能帮助修浩更好地隐藏下去，所以那一刻他觉得自己的牺牲是值得的”。
即便是前香港游泳队运动员，朱鉴然仍表示拍摄这场戏非常有挑战性，还笑称“差点留下了看到塑料袋就害怕的后遗症”。但为了呈现出最好的效果、接近人物最真实的垂死反应，朱鉴然反复尝试多角度拍摄，一遍遍地在灌满水的塑料袋里憋气。面对剧组工作人员的担忧，朱鉴然每次的回答都只有一句“没事”。朱鉴然感慨这些关于卧底生涯的挣扎与疼痛不过是冰山一角，“现实远比电影更残酷。从来没有什么岁月静好，只是有人在替我们负重前行。致敬所有缉毒警察”。
